Wanted to peek in quick and capture some updates on BSK. I will be back soon to write loads and loads.

Through the past weeks BSK has been slowly growing up, in many ways but I was caught up looking forward to the one main milestone- walking. She isnt walking just as yet, she is getting there, she can stands for a few seconds before plopping on her butt. She walks holding on to her push toy around and around the house. I have to keep telling myself that it is better she walks later than earlier. I can definitely wait before I have to run  behind her around the house. She is crawling so fast, she does not want to walk. She is a total pro in climbing stairs. As she is walking with her push toy, the moment she gets near the stairs, she leaves the  toy and goes off to climb the stairs! And she is pretty fast too!

So anyway, it just stuck me this weekend that BSK has been making strides in other areas. My father has been taking her out in the front lawn and showing her flowers. And so she understands flowers. My father picks a few and gives it to her for her to pluck the petals one by one. Now my father even goes to our neighbours lawns !!! to pick flowers for BSK. Dont know when we are going to hear complaints. So apart from amma, appa, papa, her first real word is pooo. She says phoooo, spitting out, its superbly cute.
Now she understands all forms of poo, real ones in the back and front yard and in general outside to the fake ones in her dresses, and our dresses, in vases, in pictures. If we ask her 'Enga pooo?' she will immediately look around to find one. She also knows paapa is herself, she will look for the picture frame with her photo in it.

My dad also goes around the house teaching her other things. She knows where the fishes are, Enge fishhh? She immediately looks at the little aquarium and if free crawls to the little table and stands there. Engee horse? And she immediately looks at her rocking horse and smiles. She understand Doggggg, she says 'Ddaaa' at her mechanical dog. I was surprised when in our bedroom she looked at a stuffed doggy which even I didnt know was there and started saying 'Dddaaa' and smiling. There is a blue ball, which is her 'baaa'. If we ask her, Ball enge? She will go for the blue ball, pick it up, show it to the world like she won a tournament. If I extend a hand out, 'inga kudunga' she will bring it and place it on my hand! Teddy is something I taught her in the bedroom. 'Tttaaatttii' she goes and literally screams. And can find it if we ask for it.

Its very cute how she says 'light'. She can find a light anywhere. She looks up for a bright source and points. To say light she sticks her tongue out so far, we get scared. She will twist her tongue and say "llaaai'

And she dances! "BSK dance pannu?" If she is standing, she goes up and down, that is her dance of course, and if she is sitting, she rocks back and forth. Its amazing that she understands it. She loves ABCD song in her laptop, DH noted that whatever she may be doing, when she hears that song she comes to the laptop and rocks back and forth so hard, she enjoys it. I tired singing ABCD and she dances for that too. And point to note is she dances to the beat too!

Apart from this, feeding time is fun with her. She does not like pureed foods. She favors textured food, like bread and carrot. She likes anything we eat. She has paruppu saadham with nei for lunch most days and pureed veggies/fruits for dinner. Breakfast cereals. Snacks she has banana or parleg biscuit or her finger snacks. She loves fruits, only because they are sweet. I can see little DH in the making. She has tasted pretty much everything sweet in the house. She loves to pick her own food and eat. So the way we feed her pureed food is to put some finger food on her table and while she attempts to pick it up and put it in her mouth, we try to get a couple of mouthfuls of food. When she is done, or she doesnt want food, she has started shaking her head nooo from one side to another. She closes her eyes, raises her brows and shakes her head vehemently. Its the cutest little scene, makes us burst into laughter. How the hell does the little baby learn to do this?  She loves water. She can drink from sippy cup, and straw cup and loves drinking water. So much is her love for water we have to hide her cup when feeding her meals. If she sees her water she will not have a bite to eat without getting a sip to drink.  Yesterday at the farmers market, I gave her a piece of orange. She has no teeth yet. I am not concerned, the later the better again! The little lady sucked on it like a pro!

She plays with us in bed before night time which is easily the best part of our day. She loves my hair. She does not like me with glasses I think, she pulls them off as soon as she sees them. She cuddles with me and smothers me with her kisses, I would like to think of them as. ;--) she will hug me as she falls asleep, pull my hands to herself with her tiny hands and put her tiny leg on me. I try to move away once she is asleep, I like my space you see, but she would just come closer to me. Eventually push me out of the bed really. She also kicks in her sleep, her feet hits my tummy, and it is like pregnancy kicks all over again. Once she is asleep we put her in her crib. Early morning when she wakes up she is back in the bed with us. We really need a bigger bed. Queen bed is not quite cutting it. Sigh!

awesome update :). Wait for her to walk - the work enormously increases. And there's no hurry to any milestone, they all get there at their own pace.

Teething is another painful phase which will be coming soon :(

And you must upgrade to an Eastern King - its the widest bed out there - wider than CA king too. We have that one!
