May be I should continue blogging everyday, because really I miss taking stock of the day and it really helped me feel better.
New year started on a low key, arguments at home and also at work. But thankfully I am done with the slight depression that hits me after the holidays. In laws left today. BSK seems to be okay, said bye and when asked said " oorukku poyittanga". I am in two minds about the departure. I am sad because they helped around the house a lot. But BSK is extremely pampered and it is time we take control and discipline her and get into a routine. I am hoping it won't be as crazy as her 1-2 years.
So anyhow one big thing happening in SK life is the kitchen remodeling. We have no kitchen now. Long story. But the cabinets are pretty much done so I wanted to share some of my extremely well used drawers. :--) especially with ikea kitchens it is a huge life saver and space saver for small kitchens that we can afford in Bay Area. I want to write more on this, from organization, planning, etc, will do soon hopefully. But here are some pics. Still lot of stuff to be organized and counter, sink, microwave, dishwasher, cooktop, not in place so the house is a mess. It might be time for our India trip before the kitchen is done :--( but I didn't want to get the Chinese guys to do my counters we wanted to do it properly hence the delay.

Wow now that ur in laws are gone world would hv changed for u right? Parents when they r here help u so much it feels like a luxury. Hope you cope well with the realities of the world now.
