Did I say I was going to have a sucky Thanksgiving? Its a wonder how much time you have if you dont travel on holidays. So inspite of getting some work done, not as much as I would like, but sufficient, I was able to spend some time with family, do some cooking, watch some movies, do some window shopping.
Here is what I watched.
Wednesday night - UP .. halfway through the movie... *snore* Thursday night - Revolutionary Road .. 15mins into the movie.. *snore* Friday night - Yes Man .. 15mins into the movie.. *snore* Saturday night - Eeram .. DH and I never thought of all the things from our old city, we would miss the Indian store guy who ripped off indian movies and sold them to us for $2! Till now I havent found a place in BayArea that does it. So I sooo wanted to watch a Tamil movie (what do you know?) I googled for Eeram online, found a decent version, my laptop has HDMI output I discovered, so all the more good, connected to TV and viola!.. no snoring, I watched the movie till the end! DH kept on checking on me, waking me up when I dozed away on his lap. I may be slept for some 15mins in the end, but I finished watching the movie!
In in the middle I told DH, " This is the kind of movie that will keep me up without dozing off!" :--)
First half was gripping, wondering where the director was going with the plot and the gentle clues, second half was a drag as usual. I think its worth a watch, a different Tamil movie in a long time, me thinks.
Note: I finished watching all the movies the subsequent day except Revolutionary Road. And thats the one I picked :--S |
