Hello there! I cannot believe its been over a month since I update this blog of mine. Tch tch!
I do have a valid excuse, if anyone cares to know, I moved cities and I went to India.

I want to write loads and loads on every thing, but that will have to wait.

For now as usual I am here to crib.

The ordeals of moving -
Taking the air shuttle thrice a week. The travel is killing my back.
Missing my friends. Yes, I do miss them. Feeling a bit lonely. For now weekends are busy setting up the new place, we have to see how things shape up later.
Missing the little town I had grown to be fond of without realizing. Everywhere I go, be it Walmart or Safeway, I keep comparing. I did the same when I moved from Midwest to CA. I guess its just a matter of time before I get used to the change.
Every shop/store seems faraway. For a country girl like me who lived in a town that can be driven end to end in 20mins, any place that has to be reached by taking the highway is far. And here, the highway has to be taken for everything.
Being/working in two places. Not so much fun. I am not able to get involved in happenings in one site.
Paying more rent for a smaller place. Sucks.

Ok, its not just all bad.

The good things about moving -
Living together with DH!
Now I feel like a real family
So many great choices for Friday night dinner!
Excitement of moving into a new place is un-paralleled. I look forward to weekends to go out and explore, get to know the routes, areas, roads, and the so-many highways. Seriously I feel like a country girl landing in a big city.
With all the flying, I am reading a lot! I have to slowly get to read the non-fiction books in my list. For now it was Chetan Bhagat's 2 States, Five Point Someone and Ponniyin Selvan.

Have a happy weekend!

Enjoy setting up home in your new place. For a moment I got confused and thought you moved back to India. :)

Ponnyin selvan is a great read though quite ambitious, i mean its huge ella. I read it when i was really young as a thodarkathai!

except for walmart & ikea, u dont need to take freeway as much. i mean most of cities are well-contained.

Yes Walmart, Ikea and some other furniture place, seemed far. But with so many options so close I am trying to go to the stores I like, which is good. :--)
