1) Happy I still have a job. :--) Big relief when I got an email saying all redeployed employees have been notified already. It is really funny when you reject offers to do what you know in order to do what you want, and your job is in jeopardy.
2) Met an old friend after ages, like 8 years. He was my cube neighbour in my first year at work. Oh we have had such an awesome time together, usual RCG stuff, way too much fun. Now he has twins and is talking about settling in the suburbs with no time to party. It was nice to meet him. Tried to convince him to move to Bay Area but he doesnt want to. He says it is not much different from Bangalore life. Which is partly true. He was trying to convince me to move to the northwest.
3) Successfully finished my course in Stanford yipee! We had our final presentation today. I couldnt do justice, since some high priority interrupts cropped up at work. But it is done!
4) Heard a pitch that was made to a real VC today. First time. Very interesting. Some new ideas. Innovative.
5) More learning at work. Everyone has their own agenda. It is the case of "azhara poonaikku paal". Nothing will be given to you in a platter, the world is not fair. If you want it badly ask for it, cry for it. Learning, learning. |
