Ok, I said I will be more regular.
I have been bracing myself for this hectic week. I have been reading all kinds of motivational articles to help keep me afloat during this time. What time? Performance review time! :--((( I hope I scrape through. I am praying if this one time, God does a miracle, next time on I will definitely give my very bestest.
Today morning I read a wonderful article on how to keep your mind at peace. Yes, I fervently start reading motivational and inspirtational articles if I find myself getting hyper and restless with too many things bothering me.
Due to a slight miscommunication, partly my fault too, I am haphazardly preparing to 'teach' a day-long class, within 24 hour notice. :--( God save me! Only today morning I read about being confident, and peaceful and stress free, but I already feel like a vethaal on the drumstick tree.
So wish me luck folks!

What Guru meant to me
Watched Guru over the weekend amidst various pending chores. Amazing movie. I fell in love with everything about the movie. Forget the logistics and loop holes, I wanted to be part of the movie through and through. I felt sad when the movie was over. I didnt want to watch any other movie for a few days, I wanted the taste of a good movie to linger within me as long as possible. I dont care if its not the greatest work of Mani Rathnam, all I care for is that he is one guy who can make movies which stir your soul, and leave a lasting impression. He is the one guy who can create characters you are bound to fall in love with. Throughout the movie, I felt I was watching a Tamil movie, not a Hindi movie. So many parts of the movie reminded me of various other ManiRathnam's movies. He has stamped his chaapa on this movie too.
Enjoyed the relationship between Aish and AB in the movie. ManiRathnam always makes his couple an ideal couple, the one you would want to be a part of, right from Roja, to Alaipaayuthey to Yuva to Guru. DH rightly quoted, ManiRathnam has been making movies for the past 20 odd years, it is almost the next generation that is watching his films now, still he succeeds to capture his audience. Kudos to him!
Man! Why doesnt he make more movies more frequently? :--(( |
