What I will miss,
The bright living room of our humble abode. Driving my car. which includes listening to my favorite songs in high volume. The super clean and beautiful local roads. Watching fair skinned Amru kids/babies and playing with them at Church. Whiling away the evenings of my week days in front of the TV, lazing on the Papasan. Gymming with buddies. The bright, albeit hot summer.
Weekend getaways however miniscule with DH. Long weekend getaways. Watching stupid TV shows, House, other movies cuddled with DH on weekend nights. Poker nights with friends. Playing Frisbee, Tennis, Biking, Hiking, Swimming basically doing Summer stuff with DH and friends. Cooking for DH.
Most of all.. just being with DH. :--((
What I wont miss, work, it will continue, in God's Land.
Soon to start is a phase in my life, which will very closely resemble my pre wedding days, with a few changes. I will enjoy my work this time. DH will be in US while I will be elsewhere this time.
So continues my ordeal of balancing work with personal life. Some compromises we have to make in life.
I have to be a drama queen. All our friends are more worried about DH, who I am pretty sure will be fine, while I am gone. No one is sorry for moi. :--( No fair!
*******
It is our Wedding Anniversary today. Three years of married life. It has been bliss. Fights have been fewer this year, thanks to me and my understanding nature ;--) They say you get tired of the spouse after a while, and the romance will die off after a while. Every year I expect that to happen and I will continue to expect as we step into the fourth year of togetherness. We continue to love each other's company, still enjoy spending time alone together. DH still treats me like a Princess, ;--), makes me feel special. He is always there to lift up my spirits, turn my sad face upside down into a smile. He is so supportive, always respecting my decision, I am grateful to have such a husband. My Dad pampered me a lot, mostly because I was a bright kid. From a pampering Dad I fell right into the arms of DH, who is even more pampering. :--) Its like DH competes with my Dad to pamper me more.
Yeah, go ahead and call me selfish like others have already done, for taking off to another country for a couple of months, leaving DH alone. It was not an easy decision. The 'practical' person in me, opted for it, when she had a high hand. The 'emotional' person in me has been chiding the other for the past few days. The 'practical' one, has gone into hiding, unable to face the 'emotional' one. Hmph!! |

All the best ! I know you will do fine :) Curious: Did your Dad pamper only because you were a bright kid. Wudn't he have done that if you weren't ?

Good luck with it! What country are you off to? I am sure you and DH will do just fine, just hang in there!

Only 2 months no! This is like a vacation from hanging out with DH. You will miss him but then you always know its just 2 months:).
So its like a wait, knowing you are going to get what you want in the end:). This is better than a really short wait (even, 1 day), when you are not sure you will get what you want in the end:D.
-Ok
