I havent forgotten it. I thought I can do it once in two months from now on. I have to write it and be accountable else I am slacking.
Temper control went haywire quite a few times at home, and I am not too proud of it. I have to make amendments. Actually thats the only thing that went wrong the past couple of months. I have learnt to work around TV watching. Food wise, I am learning to eat in moderation, without being too strict about what I will eat and what I will not. It seems to be working, except weight loss is at a stand still. But thats okay since I am kind of at a good weight. Still some lbs to go, but I will take it slowly.
Everything is winding down for Summer. PC Pals is almost done. We have a Pizza (gulp!) lunch tomorrow with the kids, I will be seeing my pal for the last time before holidays and before he switches schools to go to Middle school. Tutoring is done, with my student getting a B in Pre Calculus, which he said is a grade he couldnt have made if not for me. Ah! What more would a tutor want? :--) Choir is also coming to a stop, ww are going live on local Radio today at 9:30. The last practice is this Tuesday, ending with a small snack party. My course got over last month, I got an A, which wasnt a surprise. Toastmasters is still continuing though, no Summer break. I have given 4 speeches of date, giving my 5th this week. That reminds me I have to prepare. I am taking it a little slow, because I dont want to hurry things up and not really learn what I can learn.
So with all my activities slowing down, I had to look for more opportunities to volunteer. I have signed up for a few, they are yet to start in full swing I am looking forward to it. I am pretty excited about them too. And there is another big commitment for the Summer towards which I am working on, we will see how that goes.
Ok if you are wondering, I have a full time job too, which is going to get crazier as we go towards the end of the year. We had two back to back parties this Friday, and when DH asked my boss how come this is the case, boss replied, "Have you heard of the Calm before the Storm? Well, this is the Calm!" There is just way too much to be done, some things I like, some things I am not too fond of. We have folks from Bangalore site visiting for a couple of weeks. I was as usual very excited about it. Turns out offices in India are much more posh and well maintained that our offices here. Sigh! Time to move back I tell them, and they say No dont, you dont get the same experience as here back in India. We will see about that.
My reading had slowly come to a standstill sometime back, I am slowly reviving it. As usual I got motivation from some folks on blogdom. Midnight's Children is in progress, I read about 10-15pages a day, at this rate I am not sure when I will finish it. But I am enjoying the book immensely. Initially it was a bit confusing, his writing style, now I am loving it.
But by indulging in all the extra stuff outside of work, I have realized that the more things I have to do, the more things I get done! It is true. And I am really liking it. Touchwood, I wouldnt change a thing about my life right now.
PS: Jamaica post, within the next week, promise! I have to finish before I go on my next vacation :--D |

Jeez girl! You have a lot of things on your plate! Are you working in IT? If you are, it would be a miracle to get any extra time. My job takes away most of my evenings and weekends too. What's your secret?
