| First Behavior Report and other stuff |

BSK got her first one from her day care yesterday. Promptly I am recording it here. For pulling hair and pushing other children :--S And throwing food on the floor. Geez. I think since her grand parents, my in laws landed she has been pampered way too much and hence such conduct. We were asked to sit her down and talk to her about her behavior. We did that. In fact I took her back to her day care in the evening so she can apologize to the kids. I knew who she did this to, because she told me. All along in the car she said she will say Sorry Vrinda. Sorry Shreya but the moment we stepped into the day care she just wouldnt say sorry. Of course the other kids had forgotten about it long time back and came running to give hi fi and shake hands with me.
I just rememebered she got bitten by another older kid a few weeks ago. She seems to be in both ends. She is not able to control her actions when she is upset, I am guessing this is normal for all kids her age.
So that is that, I saved the note as it is her first behavior report. :--)
This past weekend was a sick weekend. BSK was sick with vomitting and diarrhea and I think we saw the worst of it. I will not even get into the grossness of it all. But thankfully it is behind us. I was sick too with some sort of food poisoning after eating uncooked salmon, which I 'cooked' of course :--P DH grills salmon always in our house and the one time I tried to make some, thankfully only for myself, I botched it.
Add to this, my Friday appointment with optometrist for difficult in seeing, I thought I was developing some bi-focal power but turns out I am likely to have a condition called keratoconus which is sort of uncorrectable vision. I have it in only one eye. And generally it only affects between the ages of 10 and 30, and by 30 your chances of having this condition are rare. But surprise surprise I seem to have it.It is rather scary, because the progression is not predictable.
So for now I am only thankful I have moved from a highly in front of the laptop kind of job to a more talking role so I can still work even if my vision is not perfect. Still that has not stopped me from worrying about my future and BSK and everything.
I realized why my Dad keeps asking me to pray to God for good health. Because really you can only do so much on your own about certain things. Now I am just praying that it does not progress any more, since really, I am 33! and I am supposed to be out of scope for such diseases. And then I am praying that it does not affect my left eye too so I can really still read and do stuff. Gah, is this one goes blind? Puts life in a whole new perspective.
Anyhow I dont want to spend too much time thinking about it.
I just started my new role yesterday, feeling super excited, well, as much as I can given the circumstances.
I will do not let this thing get in the way of my life. I told DH yesterday and he said (He also has early glucoma like symptoms that he is not getting checked out) dont worry both us will tour the world with one eye. ;--) I told him he forgot about BSK. Really wouldnt mind having anything if it is just me, but with BSK around the whole equation changes. So my prayer is this. Hope I can see and work and earn until BSK is 21 and can take charge of her own life. 19 more years to go!

you will be fine :). Don't worry. Miss R also gets behavior reports....even when we are strict with her. It's normal. Discipline as you always do but don't stress about it.
Good luck with the new position!

i sometimes feel that the USA tends to exaggerate the behavior of little children.i was asked to talk to my 2 year old because he was going through a violent phase too, thanks to grand parents again.it is tough when teachers complain everyday and judge parents for the behavior of children, but to me it only seems normal that a toddler will behave in a certain way.

Shachi, thanks! Should learn not to stress too much!
Saumya, thanks, appreciate it
MK, haha all kids get too naughty and violent when grand parents are around :-)
Daisy, that is ongoing, hopefully it wont be too bad, my eyes. Thanks :--) I am going to go for a second opinion. It is genetic or something, nothing really we can do to fix, or stop it :--(
