We just got back from a 4 week vacation in India. We are still jetlagged/sick/getting back to normal.
BSK has a blast in India, lot of pampering, lot of lollipops and balloons. And and and BSK turned 2! She turned two without much hulla bulla, because her birthday was the day after we landed in US and spent it pretty jetlagged. But we did have two small celebrations in India with family, so that was it.
I can see a marked difference in her from around the time she turned 2. One is apart from looking like a little person now she also talks and behaves like a little person. Oh the tone of her voice that will fool anyone into thinking she is much older than she is really.
"See Amma see", "like this amma like this.", "Amma, no. (Period)" Gosh!
She can make proper conversation now, repeat everything we say.
When she talks like a little person, sometimes getting on my nerve, I dont know whether to laugh or cry, reprimand her or hug her. I just ended up laughing when she is angry because it is soooo cute to she her angry, like a real person.
I also find her to be most lovable. Love the way she holds my hand (only my index finger, only she will hold mine, I cannot hold hers) and then hold DH's hand and walk, and jump and run. The happiness on her face is pure bliss to watch.She loves to hug both of us, keep our heads one each side of her. Like a big girl!
She can open zips, ziplocks, lids that can be openned by rotating the lids. More proofing needs to be done around the house!
Yesterday we were at REI, was surprised to see her walk on her own, investigate/explore stuff around the store, not for a moment bothering to make sure DH or I were around!! Gee!
Hope I can be more regular with blogging. In laws are coming soon, so I might get some more time!
