After being too wound up about the sabbatical planning, I need a break from it!, too much confusion in the head, too much self doubt, and fear and anxiety, peace of mind was achieved, courtesy of ARR and Mani Rathnam!

Seriously listen to this peppy super cute number.

And here is the trailer for the movie.

All male and female leads are so similar through the years. ;--) You can easily see Karthik from Mouna Raagam or Siddharth from Aayutha Ezhuthu. Or Trisha from Aayutha Ezhuthu. Madhavan and Shalini from Alaipaayuthey. Cute city love stories.

It makes me want to go back to being in college, being 20, carefree, being truly madly deeply unconditionally in love. I think it is more Manirathnam than ARR, because other ARR numbers couldnt do what this did. Lets face it. Manirathnam brings the best ARR has. Mani rathnam creates this magical world you almost want to get in it, get to know the characters, be part of them. Sigh!

And Dulquar. I didnt like him too much in Vaayai moodi pesavum, he has some prominent features (ahem nose) that some may not like, but he did inherit acting genes from his Dad. His acting is so effortless. Again as they say, he has that saamudrika lakshanam. Pleasing face with pleasing features.

After listening to Mental Manahil non stop, I wanted to see more of Dulquar. :--P Google gave me a few movies and I ended up watching Bangalore Days last night. I dont usually watch other regional movies, because hey Tamil film industry has quite a few good movies and other regions end up remaking them anyway. This is my first Malyalam movie. And boy was it good!!! It was a bit tough having to read the subtitles often, I missed a few things, important things like Dulquer and Nazriya were cousins, and expected them to fall in love :--P

I wanted such cousins immediately :--P. So beautifully portrayed. The way they stick for each other, was subtly beautifully shown. I dont know what to point at exactly that made the movie so cute. It was down to earth. It was light, in a sensible way. Light humor. The invalid Natasha, and her super cute voice, the romance. Everyone acted so well. Everyone was good looking. I liked everyone's English accent.

I need to watch more movies like this. There are few times when I have HAD to watch a movie, because I just cannot wait for the weekend. This was one of them.

If you would like to check it out it is in Einthusan. :--)

    Shachi,
sure tamil movies right, latest ... check out Jigarthanda ;--)
Most good movies have been remade in Hindi, you must have watched them, Bombay, Saathiya, Yuva, Raavan etc.
Vaayai Moodi Pesavum is a cute movie too, with Dulquer in it.
