Ramblings Only

After a well rested wonderful adventurous weekend.

5AM - wake up like an alarm clock, toss and turn, go back to sleep, just because I can ;--D

6:40 - wake up, shower

7:05 - get down, prep milk, lunch, snacks for the family 

7:31 - out of the house! Long drive to work due to rain, chatted with darling mom and dad 

8:35 - call into first of the meetings, meeting after meeting later

11:45 - head to gym with friend, awesome sweaty workout, calves don't bother as much

1pm - at desk for meeting and that goes on and on

4:30pm -leave to pick up BSK

5pm - pick a happy dotter

5:20 - home, give some snacks, get dotter to write some lines

6:00 - eat dinner, make food for next day

6:30 - family cuddle time and dinner for dotter

7:30 - shower for dotter, book reading 

8:30 - dotter is asleep! I will write my 500 words and sleep at 9:30pm

Similar day awaits tomorrow. What makes it beautiful is my work fills working hours leaving non work hours for family and myself. I hope I don't jinx it, this is too good to be true :--))

Weekend was spent in The Cliffs Resort at Pismo Beach. Beautiful view of the beach, warm staff, great food, Sunday brunch was exotic. Hummer drive on the sand dunes was adventurous, with the hummer scaling vertical walls of sand. We traversed sand cavities by sometimes just sliding into it and sometimes driving on the wall the vehicle almost tipping sideways. That vehicle is quite something. The scenary was desert like. 

Here is a sample, ithttp://youtu.be/toC53F2PQqI it is our guy driving it. It was a total roller coaster ride. The best part was our driver was quite attuned to dotter and kept her quite entertained. 

Mandatory stop at the beach for dotter to collect sea shells for her 'birthday party decoration' ok! Quite enjoyed our family time just walking by the beach enjoying the sights, enjoying our little dotter, enjoying togetherness.

Evenings were spent relaxing looking at the sunset, me struggling to write parts of my book, ahem, DH and dotter playing in the pool. BSK would come running to me making pitter patter foot steps and a fellow couple enjoying the warmth of the fire along with me would quip " remember the time when we would run just because we could? I remembered that when I saw her running. Look at those tiny foot prints on the pool side. I am going to run now, just because I can" and took off. Kids bring immense joy to our lives, they make us think, they make us appreciate life, they make us enjoy the small happy moments of life. 

A very pampering holiday complete with a valet who charged our car for us. The drive was awesome too with us taking turns listening to our favorite songs, stopping for some charging, taking breaks for lunch and tea. 

Reminded me of the long road trips we used to go on earlier. We covered 2300mi in 3 days from Cincinnati to Folsom. It was bliss. I hope to do more roadtrips this year now that BSK has started loving them too. She is becoming like us, she doesn't want to be home, 'engayadhu polaam'!
