- the day started with a recruiter asking for a detailed technical resume

- my boss in staff said even though it is Monday go have a drink, and I said I already had a shot over the weekend. ( I didn't, it's my way of mingling with the team)

- I blocked 30mins for lunch and booked some hotels and looked up trains. 2days done.

- dotter had a great day at a friend's place. She seemed very comfortable. She asked when she was hungry and ate lot of cream biscuits and stuff ;--P they watched only little TV and some video games. Overall I was happy she had a great time.
Digression -
I don't usually judge parents and definitely not in front of them. I am not a perfect parent, and I know parenting is hard. I give a lot of room for doubt. But when kids eat only when watching TV it bugs me. The whole point of having multiple kids is lost when one kid watches stuff on TV and the other on iPad in different rooms when eating. And these are children of parents who spend all ther free time with kids.. Sitting with them and feeding them while they watch their favorite cartoon. Ugh. When dotter visits she sits and watches TV too! The whole point of a play date is lost!! How do I tell her to do something else without letting them know I don't exactly like the fact that kids are watching TV?

I wish I could let dotter engage in free play instead of planning a lot of things for the kids to do. They learn a lot when they just play. Without hundreds of games and Lego and video games and coloring and art planned by the hour. It is different when the child is alone but when there are two kids, possibilities are endless. Dotter doesn't play iPad games often. Only some weekend mornings when we want to sleep in. She is not interested in them. She does watch TV, only Jake and the neverland pirates, again and again and again, mostly on Friday evenings.

- went for a walk in the evening. Dotter was hyper on her scooter. Neighbor Aunty said she will miss her. One random Aunty saw the ruckus dotter was making and said 'cherish this time it will speed by very quickly. I miss that age, it's the perfect age' true. I think the perfect age has started. She brings me so much happiness. How long does it last?
