| - got offers on the house! They are not great but offers nevertheless. Our house is near a train track, not BART but goods trains 4 times a day. Not bad, we almost don't notice it. But I can understand from the buyers' point of view. So happy.I feel sad about leaving my kitchen the most. Renting out would have meant having to watch my beautiful kitchen being man handled by renters. I will have to go to really bad kitchens now. Find a rental soon!
- otherwise a very average day. Gym was good. Somehow I like showering in the gym ;--p makes me feel refreshed in the middle of the day. Mia dropped to 4mi as I pulled into the garage. Didn't charge for two days.
- ordered some bobby pins for dotter's dance this weekend. I wish she would wear them everyday to keep her hair in check. Then I can actually see her face instead of looking for her face amidst her hair.
- I was telling my summer plans to a colleague and he said he has no doubt we are crazy. Well thank you! Are we crazy? One life to be crazy, I will take it. I told him about my Kenya trip a little bit too. I don't know if I captured it here but when we visited the Maasai village the whole village was dunked in cow dung. Outside the fenced village I was jumping and skipping over cow dung. Once I entered the village I gave up. This weekend when we were walking in Quarry Lakes dotter skipped over dog poop, or was it duck poop, I wouldn't know, in fact she asked us to carry her because there was so much of it. I told her to watch out for them and jump over them, and told her my Kenya story, and coincidentally was wearing the same shoes ;--p she wouldn't come near me even though I told her I had washed the shoes. I told her how cow dung keeps away mosquitos and villagers in India washed their home entrances with it. She just said 'oh so yucky' and went with her business.
- spent some time looking up ideas for the travel. Lot of travelling as usual, I want to cover everything! but I think it will be fun. You know what I want to do, and I may be heavily influenced by Mr Bryson, I want to roam around Europe for a couple of months. With no premade plans. Just go where you want to, book places on the go, meet people in pubs, strike a conversation, and so on. This time I am going to make an effort to make conversations. Since English I shouldn't have a problem. May be when we retire we will still have the energy to travel, provided my kidney doesn't give up by then.
Night!
