Saturday morning
A groggy me is sitting comfortably in the papasan chair. "Can you make some green tea for me, please" I plead in a voice that is sure to move DH's heart enough to pull himself out of bed and make a cuppa for me, and one for himself. As usual after asking for the tea, I totally forget about it, as the cup stood by the chair, where DH kept it. When it is time for the gym, I get up, *splat* my leg kicks the cup, and there is a big blotch of stain on the carpet. Papasan chairs, though super comfy, are not suitable to eat and drink in. I missed my gym class because I lose a few minutes cleaning up the mess.

Saturday afternoon
A super enthusiastic me is actively moving around the tiny space of kitchen, multitasking, making garlic rasam and cabbage curry. DH wants to sneak in a cuppa coffee before lunch. I ask him to make a cup for me as well. As DH switches the hot water in the microwave for cold milk to be microwaved, for a second, the microwave door is open, which stands in the way of my cooking. With one swift motion, I push it to close. *thud* *Sppllaaat* I hit DH's hand holding the cup with milk in it. Milk spills all over the cooking range. Me and DH clean up.

Saturday evening
We are at Costco, as new members, to check out what the place has to offer. Frankly, I wasnt too impressed. But, I see the eating place, strategically placed, in the front of the store. I stand in line for ten minutes to get chocolate non-fat-frozen yogurt. They give a huge cup for a dollar and twenty five cents. Had I known how huge it would be, I would have bought only one, instead of two. DH doesnt finish his, as we finish shopping, and places it in the cupholder in the car as we drive back home. A friend calls, DH misses the call, though he takes the cellphone from his pocket, and forgetting about the yogurt in the cup holder, *plonk* put his cell right into the yogurt cup. It being dark and all, we dont realize it. We stop at the gas station, when DH suddenly remembers his yogurt.
"Ayyayyo!" DH says in a serious tone, I turn to look at DH, pulling up his poor cell phone from the yogurt, chocolate dripping from it. I just couldnt control my laughter. I laugh non stop for a few minutes, while DH cleans it up with tissue. But of course, the cell phone has spent far too much time in the bitter-sweet cold, to function normally. It dies.

Sunday evening
Cooking time. I rummage the top shelf which is difficult to reach, for the packet of peanuts I had stowed away. I was going to try this new recipe for beans, from the website, which is my cooking gospel now. As I move around packets of groceries, I pick a packet of Urad Dhal to search some more up there, not knowing the packet was open on the other side, *sppprrraatt* fell the packet sprinkling white specs of urad dhal all over the kitchen floor. "Dearest DH, please please, I have the gas on, could you please pretty please clean this up please" DH did.

With me cooking and DH making chappathis for his week away from home, somehow, between us, we spilt oil and cleaned that up as well. We dont know exactly who was responsible for that. Given the previous episodes, it could have been either of us.

"Acho, romba padutharena, I am spilling stuff all over the place, and on top of it I am asking you to clean it up too." I really felt guilty. For that DH replies," Oh its okay, but no matter what you do, you cannot match me." Thats true, it is a big challenge to match dunking a cell phone into yogurt.

Between all the spilling and cleaning this weekend, we did manage to host a game night at home with friends. We played Scrabble, watched some TV, cribbed about taxes, with the guys keeping an eye on the laptop for cricket scores.

We watched two horror movies on Sunday. The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Whisper. I dont have much to say about the movies themselves. We generally watch horror movies only during long weekends, I am generally scared of them. Long weekends give me a couple of days buffer, when DH is at home, to forget about the movies, before I am home alone. This time I was scared. DH said," Dont worry, if a ghost or demon comes to attack you, it will see how cute are, and wont have the heart to hurt you"!!! I thought it was very sweet of him.

Overall a disasterous, but sweet weekend. Thus life goes on.
Now excuse me, I need to catch my cellphone-less-DH on Gtalk.
