Due to popular demand :--P (yeah right!) re-posted the birth story. Will keep it up for a week or two. It already feels like a dream and very unreal :--P
Is it just me or is it just getting hotter day after day?
Now that I am logged in to blogger, might as well write a post.
Getting to be more independent, and it does feel good. Drove alone to Doctor's appointment and it gave me a chance to reflect on just how much life has changed. Having a baby, a third member is one of life's most important milestone, like getting married. After the initial jolt, I am reclaiming my life slowly. Having parents, especially my Mom around is a HUGE help, but I feel she is really stretched thin between taking care of me and wanting to spend time with her grand daughter. :--)
MIL sent some Ayurvedic medicine from Kottakkal started having them, I dont know if they are helping but they taste so good :--P like Panjamritham. Started walking around the block. I have to start from the scratch to get toned and lose some weight. Even walking seems to take a toll on me. Sigh! DH, Mom and myself, all three of us have decided to work out and eat consciously. My Dad needs to put on weight, like BSK, so not part of our group :--D
All the neighbours with whom we just had a Hi-Bye relationship, now stop and talk to us, enquiring about the baby. So a baby does bring new relationships :--) Since I walk around our little neighbourhood, I see many grand parents and nannies taking care of kids in the neighbourhood. I have never noticed much earlier.
BSK is growing well. I call her by her name with a 'ma' at the end or 'kutty ma'. DH calls her by so many names. 'kutty chellam' is the most used. DH never calls me by my real name. He has so many other names for me, it was so tough to decide what he would call BSK. My Mom calls her Ammu or Ammukutty I dont know why, whatever works. Dad calls her 'Fremont Madam'. He asked me if she is Vadapalani or Fremont, as Vadapalani is where DH's parents live in Chennai, I said Fremont as thats where she lives now :--D
BSK coos and hums and has so many expressions on her face in her sleep, the active sleep. The tiny being looks sooooo cute I cannot believe I gave birth to her :--P. She has a schedule now, her bath time, sleep time, nap time, feeding time, play time. Of course it is only going to keep changing.
I cannot wait for her to grow a bit bigger so she can start recognizing us and playing with us.
Some things I miss about pregnancy -
- The expectation of a new baby!
- The kicking baby inside
- All the estrogen and the good moods
- All the eating (actually I dont miss it so much, i am surprised)

What I am enjoying after pregnancy -
- BSK
- Sleeping on my back
- Cuddling with DH, earlier of course tummy used to be in the way :--P
- No heartburn, not hungry so often
- Bigger bladder!! (I know, gross)
- No more weird pains
- Being independant
- More energy and strength
Such a haphazard post. Totally unplanned. |
