Countdown begins??

Even I am getting a bit tired of writing about pregnancy and baby. I am sure the few readers I have are bored to death. What to do, its only going to be worse, post pregnancy. :--S Should I stop blogging? That would mean cutting myself entirely from the virtual world.

Anyhoo. Officially 34 weeks. Nothing much going on, except the task list is getting longer and longer, with nothing getting checked off. Nights are a nightmare with a 50-50 probability of sleeping well. Days are a blur of reading, meetings, working, and eating. Evenings are filled with cooking, TV and walking. Other tasks? No mood or enthu.

With the garage cabinets done, yay!, DH spent a lot of time organizing stuff. Out came some boxes which we have been blindly carrying over from one house to another, one city to another. My box full of Masters stuff, papers, documents, folders, technical books, finally found a permanent place in the garage. I dont have the heart to throw them out. :--( And some other stuff that came out are the paraphernalia that I brought to the US in my first trip.

My first ever gift from DH for my 20th birthday, a cool alarm clock from Archies, which I selected myself without knowing it was for me. Thats how creative and cute DH was and continues to be. Some other small gifts and figurines. A simple stone carving when we decided to get married - "Grow old with me, the best is yet to be" All the memories from those days came back in a big gush. I dont want to throw anything, looks like I am a hoarder, I can never throw gifts or cards. So now they adorn the mantle and showcase.

Everyone knows of pregnant women being given special preference. I dont travel on trains or buses to be given a seat to sit down, nor have I gotten any special preference from folks outside friends and family. But but but, when we went to get a blouse stitched for the impending baby shower, the lady said normally she needs two weeks to do it, but because of my 'condition' she agreed to get it ready in a week. Woohoo! My pregnant belly did come to some use. While on one hand, I dont like being treated specially just because, it does feel nice when strangers are warm to you. Afterall this will probably be the one and only time.

Went for the hospital tour this weekend and yes, looks like its really going to happen. Reading some books to educate myself, but I am really not sure if I will handle it as well as I want to. *Shudder Shudder*

Enjoying last few days of cooking. Made bisebelabath a couple of weeks ago, it was soooooo yummy. Made vaangibath this weekend, also very yummy. I couldnt believe I made it, with my own hands. I seem to cook better when there is no pressure to impress anyone and when I have a lot of time at hand. Also when use of oil/ghee is not restricted.

This weekend is the baby shower. DH is trying hard to keep the details a surprise. And I am trying hard to NOT find out anything about it :--D

And thus the boring life goes on, a seemingly endless waiting game.
