BSK is a full chatter box now!
Time is flying by so fast I have to stop and capture my thoughts as she is 18months now and growing fast.
- Morning I dont see her too much, 7AM DH wakes her up, while I rush to shower after getting her day care bag ready with food for her. 7:40 I leave off. My heart melts off when she cries, "Amma Ammmmmma, vaa vaa" - That is in her language asking me to come to her and carry her. Somedays when she is in a good mood she would say bye bye ta ta, umma and hi-fi. That is her bye bye routine.
- She can count to 10, when climbing stairs, in books, while eating, all the time.
- She loves listening to A B C D and can sing along with the song.
- She knows Twinkle twinkle, wheels on the bus, london bridge, and some other rhymes on youtube.
- Yesterday she learnt broccoli SO CUTE when she says that.
- She has started coloring and crayons/colors she calls 'nakle' , carrot she calls, 'keeyat'. Some words she says them in her own way. She knows her 'buttons' in her dress.
- Oh she can exercise! When DH does his ab exercises in the evening because he cannot do other workouts because of his injury, she would follow suit and try to imitate him, cutest sight.
- She loves her bu beeii (blue berry), chee (cheese), peas,
- She has ten teeth now and can bite quite hard. Her smile is soo from the heart, innocent. She gives one ora vaai sirippu sometimes which is also cute.
- She can talk on the phone now whenever one of us calls the other.
- Oh, she keeps calling her day care friend Aditi aditi. She says it soo precisely. Apparently another kid in the day care keeps calling BSK's name.
- Did I mention she has homework every week? Gee. Learn a poem, color, stick chamki in animals etc.
- She is learning some actions to certain phrases in day care which she does when she comes home too.
- She can now eat on her own with a spoon. And is quite adamant to do it at every meal, making me pull my hair out because she would make a huge mess and eat only what she wants.
- She likes grape fruit! Really which toddler likes grapefruit? Rather who like grapefruit? I am a weirdo, I like it, looks like she is one too.
- She likes to repeat after us a lot. She would repeat after rhymes we play her, she would repeat after the puppy that talks.
How did she grow up so fast? I blink and she learns something new. I am loving it, err, mostly. But there are times she she gets on my nerves. I am very impatient, sometimes feel am not mother material because I am selfish, lazy etc etc, Only some days. DH picks up my slack. Thank god.
Work is tight. Mainly because my time at work is limited. I have to take meeting while driving, during lunch. But I am liking the chaos that it is. Talking to lot of people, driving things, I feel content I have to say.
Looks like blogging is really disappearing. Dont see many people blogging anymore. FB/Twitter seems to be the preferred medium for many. I dont have the enthu or patience to get in there.
Plus I started blogging when I was truly madly deeply in love, hating my job, re-discovering myself in early twenties. Had a lot to write.
Now life is mundane. Not sure if I will continue blogging. I never thought I would say this, but really life is busy and I am losing the interest in writing here.
Let us see how things go.

Please continue to post. Twitter and facebook in my opinion is overrated whereas blogs do make a connection. Your posts have been a great read and helpful as well. I certainly dont think blogs are dying. Please keep at it.

Here I am blogging daily and you want to call it quits - why oh why? its such a good medium to document BSK's tidbits....but maybe you do it elsewhere? I don't do twitter, and I do FB but blogging is where my heart lies!

Ayyo! Don't quit.. it's your responsibility to document the mundane too :) And, you are not a selfish mother- you are more than just a mother, and that's how more women of our generation are. It's perfectly normal for a woman to desire a life that has more than husband and family. Be selfish in all ways :) Be greedy, love everything that comes with your definition of life and hold on them.

Awww....you're making me sentimental now. Kid blogs are always interesting and BSK is at the cutest stage! More stories, please!

of all the past posts that I am catching up, I just loved "Mish Mash". You will not believe how much that post resonates with me. Now I wish the thoughts in that post become part of my DNA. it's just that it's not my nature and so I forget about the good things I want to practice! haah!

Seriously, you are considering quitting??? I kill you!!!! Whose life is not mundane??? Pliss dont stop SK.. I love reading your daily musings and how BSK is growing up.. Dont fret and plan writing here, but just spend couple minutes.. pliss! :(
I am planning to blog more often, I have never liked twitter and I am glad to be out of FB these days(for most part of my day).

This is OK. After a long time, catching up on blogs. Really awesome that you are the only person still blogging.
And really happy to see BSK growing up:). I remember the blogpost you wrote long long time ago when you and DH had gone on cycling(?) and he had called you a baby(?).
Anyway. I am doing good here and happily married! And FYI. I am in the Bay Area now. We could be neighbors!!!
