Hola!
Wanted to take a quick peek and record BSK's milstones.
- Madame is fast walking like a pro. My brightest point in a random week day is when I go to pick her up. She comes walking as fast as she can, swaying her hands left and right, making the cutest heart tugging sight ever.
- She said her first three syllable word - a-ppa-thi - chappathi :--P For now most of her vocabulary is around food. But trust me she does not look like that.
- Madame has learnt to say yes in sign language. The moving head up and down. Earlier to know what she wanted to eat, I would show item one by one and madame would shake her head for everything she does not want, if she does not shake her head she wants that. Now she would forcefully move her head up and down to say yes. "BSK mumum venuma?" Shake head up and down, that too forcefully, like her head would just fall apart with the shaking.
- She can do peekaboo. Closes her eyes with her hands and takes them off fast.
- We took her to the park a few times now, but she likes picking up bits and pieces of junk on the ground than actually playing with the man made things. She loves the grass, pulling flowers, grass etc. DH was commenting that we can stop getting our gardener in to mow the lawn!
- Shes likes tasty food.
- She loves day care. Even Mondays she doesnt hesitate to go to Sylvia from DH. I drop her in the morning on Wednesdays because I have late meeting that day, she was hesitant for a few seconds but got easily distracted.
- She plays on her own now very well. She does not like all her play things to be in boxes. She will immediately topple the box and empty its contents on the floor!
- She can walk backwards too.
- Before sleeping she blabbers a lot, like she is revising everything she learnt that day. She would be sleepy, she would talk, she would wake herself up from sleep by talking, and then she would cry. Riot!
- She can help me put or remove her clothes. She would show her hand and move her head. OMG! When did she grow up to understand this?
- Madame has sever tantrums now. She would cry if something she wishes to happen does not happen. She would throw back her head and cry like the whole world is ending. If she is not able to close the door because something is stuck, she would cry. If her favorite rhyme on the iphone stops, because she pressed the one button on the phone, she would cry.
- She understands no. So if she knows I disapprove of something, like her going to the trash can under the sink, she would stand there reluctantly, hesitantly, and would slowly move her hand, while waiting for me to say no. She will go around picking up stuff and giving it to me in my hand. And no I should not put it back, she would pick it up and deposit in my hands again. I am waiting for her to grow up a little so I can give her some cleaning chores.
- DH plays 'fetch' with her. It is a godo way to tire her out. DH would throw the ball from one end of the family room to the other end of the kitchen. She would navigate all the obstacles and go pick it up and come fast walking to DH to give back the ball like she won a race.
- We play her Bingo, some random rhyme on youtube. It is her favorite. She does 'pat your legs' and 'pat your head'. Her 'pat your leg' is 'tattattatt'
- She can say thankyou which is 'thantu'
- I ask her to repeat A B C. quite often. And whenever I say A she goes B, or biya. I got her to repeat the alphabets until P. Her F is cute. It is just a sound. And her H is also cute. Just a sound.
- Every morning as I get her down, I ask her to say good morning and Hi to her puppy and her teddy. She knows to operate her puppy which can play with her interactively, moving its legs and hands and ears. She would go dragging the puppy, the poor things all over the house by its ears. And she would sit in front of it ready to dance, or clap her hands or shake her hands.
- She can sing! I think so. There is one Ad on TV. 7-C there are lot of kids in the ad, and BSK gets mesmerized while watching it. If she refuses to it playing this on repeat would get the food down! She can sing the first two swaras of the song. Naaana. Very precisely. She sings at night before sleeping too.
- She knows that when she is happy she can show it by clapping her hands, or dancing. I think it is amazing.
- The little lady when is in a good mood can share her food. So today evening she fed me. I didnt want to eat the ParleG but since she so lovingly fed me I ate one. When I asked her to give some to her puppy, she kept it on the puppy's mouth and took it back.
- She has this cute 'konjal' smile, with eyes also smiling, her mouth wide open showing her two front teeth, which has totally changed her face.
I can remember only so much for now. |
