Ramblings Only

Just ramblings, only a vent for emotions, feelings and all the good stuff

Today morning didn't start well. And it is all my fault only. I don't have more responsibilities or anything. I just can't handle a nominal amount of responsibility.
That said, it had been 4 days since I applied for my visa. They say it takes 2 days to process the visa. My mind had to think about all the consequences of not going. Frankly, I won't lose much other than a bit of disappointment and going back to *shudder* work when I was planning to be travelling. The trip is fully paid for so my company should be more concerned than me. So the head knows but my involuntary response is panic.

Panic makes me think of all possible ways to mitigate panic. Like I want results right away which usually doesn't happen with immigration of course. I emailed the Kenya embassy in US and immigration and Kenya almost pleaded to give me my visa or atleast let me know what is going on with it. I meet friends for lunch they are all super excited about me going to kenya and I am like ' I need to get my visa!' They said ' you do all these things yet you are so scared for everything!' True that. I told her it's my genes I get it from my father I can't help it. Seriously I don't know if yoga will help. Because my father does yoga everyday. He still gets flustered and worried and panicky. You should see him when we are enroute to the airport. You know telling them not to panic is not exactly how to handle a panicky person. They just simply don't tell outside that they are panicking which is worse!

So anyway 1pm I got my visa approved!

I will have the first Parent Teachers conference next week. JSK is very happy. She has the knack of recalibraring her expectations wherever she goes. She just needs the time to warm up. Yesterday I see a cranky child going to her car, she didn't want to go home, and JSK happily yelled 'byeeee!' to her. When she didn't respond with a bye, and looked sulky, JSK went on to make funny faces and funny phrases ' bye bye bye lululu, blue blue blue ' and the other kid laughed and got into her car. Wow! She definitely gets that from DH.

Coming back from ballet today took a while, some small road closure. For a change I kept the windows down. Every single sound surprised me and scared me. Who knew buses screeched when slowing down. It felt good. Fresh cool fall air. Since we were moving slowly JSK got lot of opportunity to read signs. Starbucks Coffee was first. And she wanted to go there. I said 'amma also wants to go da pattu' ' then let's go now!' Next up was Snack shop by 76. Then as we were ambling along she said ' amma enna analum stop pannadheenga poyitta irunga, ver car stop pannalum poyitte irunga' ( don't stop just keep going even if Others cars stop). She had read ' No stopping any time' !!!! Shabbbbbba. Yesterday Last Man Standing was paused when she came in. She came and said I don't want to see 'Last man standing' put 'fosters'. !!!!!
She knows cars. tesla and Acura were the first. Now she knows Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, Saturn ( just read), bmw. We had a big fight over bmw. How do we say bmw? She wouldn't accept it that we just  say the letters. I told her it is Bavarian Motor Works, and that we saw the building where these cars were made.

Everyday she makes some card for me in school and she writes iloveyoumomanddad in every picture she colors. She also writes my name. Awwww. Beautiful age. She prays 'amma Ku kaal sariya ponum' everyday. I will miss the little laddu and her screechy voice for a couple of weeks.
