Ramblings Only

Just ramblings, only a vent for emotions, feelings and all the good stuff

Lazy holiday
Saturday, November 24, 2007
This Thanksgiving holiday has flown by really fast, inspite of us not having done anything concrete. I like this.

Wednesday I worked from home, actually really worked only for about four hours, it was so awesome. With our product successfully launched, its downtime, time to prop your feet on the table and relax, and bask in glory.

Inspite of owing not to watch Om Shanti Om, since our friends were going to watch it just for the heck of it, we tagged along. I went with almost zero expectations, if not negative, so I actually enjoyed the movie. I found myself laughing at the silly humor in the first half.

Thursday we picked up my brother and went to North SF. Drove on CA-1 N, upto Stinson Beach, was disappointed, as the beach wasnt as magnificent as I had hoped, then drove to a little town Sausalito. A few of our friends had raved about the beautiful little town, I guess I expected too much, so was disappointed. SF downtown looked miniscule from the lookout point. We watched some jelly fish, and some seagulls, ate at an Indian restaurant, it was disappointing. Rock Art was the most interesting thing we saw. Here are some pictures. They are not glued together, we saw the guy actually balance the rocks one on top of the other.

We drove back downtown, had to make a stop at Ghirardellis second time in two weeks. DH would like to say second time in two and a half years, it reduces the guilt factor.

Friday was the laziest day I spent in many years I think. Woke up, made Bisibelabath, ate, watched America's Funniest Home Videos, I am watching it for the first time, so laughed a lot, and then went shopping at the Outlet Mall. Gap had some new stuff, and a sale going on. I try so many other stores, but I seem to always return to Gap.

We went bowling after that. Brother has greatly improved. Guys have an unfair advantage in bowling, they are so strong, even if they aim just a little bit, the force gets them good points. Me, I just try to aim at the center. By the time my ball reaches the end, its lost all momentum. I average an 8 or 9, through out the game, with some strikes thrown in here and there.

Today, its 10:33AM, had breakfast, will watch the episode of House recorded from last night, and then may be read some documents for sometime, catch up with some friends, otherwise its a pretty open day.

How long as it been since we have had a long weekend to ourselves! We never wasted a single long weekend since we got married. May be tomorrow I will get bored and will look forward to getting back to work, for a change.
