I have been meaning to write a post on hand-writing for a while, but Rads beat me to it. Taking up the tag from Rads and Emo.
When I was in Std 4, I got first prize in Calligraphy. Wait, before you go hoo-ing and haw-ing. For a whole year after I got the prize, I didnt know what Calligraphy was, they used to make us participate in so many competitions like drawing, and all, I really thought it was for drawing and was quite surprised to think I got a prize for drawing given how much I suck at it. So anyway, it was a while before I realized it was for Handwriting. Yes, so naive I was to not realize I had a beautiful handwriting ;--P
Thanks to my 'Convent' education in Kinder Garten in Pondicherry, my hand on writing is pretty strong. While those in KV schools struggled to write joined hand, it came naturally to me.
One more thing I realized as I grew to middle school, was I could write however I wanted! I could write joined hand like I was taught in school, with each letter curved to the right. I could also right joined hand with the letters curved to the left, and with letters sticking up straight like tall trees.
I could write however I wanted. But you can realize it gives me a lot of trouble while taking some personality tests based on hand writings. Am I, strict, strong, and stubborn? Or am I bendy, pushover, calm? I should ask my friends, because my hand writing can not tell me. :--)
So here are some samples. The first one is pretty much my normal hand writing I think. Err, I guess I am kidding myself, nowadays I never write slowly. My hand has become close to ugly nowadays. The last one is how I would write in a hurry, like when taking notes in a meeting, or when I write grocery shopping list, or hurried directions, inspite of having GPS, incase GPS gives up.
Ok, anyone interested can take the tag. I will copy-paste the rules.

Feel free to bend your rules, like I did. ;--) And it took more than 20mins.

Wow! You do have a good hand. Isn't it such a pity all this electronic era destroys the pleasure of hand-written communication. I think I have a decent hand too, buts yours is better hands down ;)
Its true, I can also write straight and right slanted. I used to be able to write left slanted but my teachers thought is showed a "crooked" personality (whatever that means!) and made me stop it and lean to the right. I am sure the leftists will be offended by my teachers ;)
BTW, I think KV guys are usually pretty proud of their schools, this might be offensive to them ;)

You do have a wonderful handwriting. But I totally disagree on your comment about KV folks. I belong to KV and have been great at Calligraphy and I do know of few of my classmates who were great too.
That was a wrong generalization.
