Working on one right now.
Psst, so I thought I will take this Friday a little easy, 'work from home' but really, respond to emails, watch some TV and laze around, sshhhh. I was all set for it when I remembered I had to follow up on the quarterly I somehow got looped in to organize. All because I 'suggested' hiking. And now we are not even hiking and I am arranging for it. It is difficult when each person wants to do something and no one day works for everyone.
And then my boss slaps a 3pm meeting request on my calendar to meet in the Cafe. Erm, I had skipped letting my team know I was working from hom. Usually Fridays are relaxed since Asia already has its weekend. So then I worked on this slideset he asked for, and drove to work at 1pm. Finished his meeting, which was very very fruitful. Crazy as the job is, I love it. I love learning the other side of the business. What do we do with all the products we made and verified? How can we ensure it translates into as many millions of parts shipped as possible and hence increase revenue? How do we cover for all the delays the product teams introduce? Interesting. I may get bored later but for now very very interesting and amusing.
So anyway, boss said 'i dont want you to work over the weekend' so get this to me by Saturday evening. :--P Erm isnt Saturday also a weekend? ;--) And me being the social butterfly that i Am trying to be, had plans for friday dinner, and saturday all day, morning two events and dinner with friends.
So this night is the only window I can get my work done. Normally I would have scorned at this work, afterall it is powerpoint, but sorry for a Unix person like me, Windows sucks and I still have a lot of learning to do. So there D for deadline, bye! gotta get to it!
