Happy hours are:
To drink beer after beer, pitchers of margaritas,strong AMFs at times. [Btw I have learnt names of quite a few alcoholic drinks, thanks to these]
To pull each others legs.
To see who gets drunk the most.
To see who blabbers the most when drunk.
To get our local mimic to imitate our managers. [need to get him drunk enough, until the fear is outwitted]
To munch on really fatty snacks like chips and salsa and buffalo wings. [ Skipping gym time]
Oh yes, its also to meet our CR counterparts offline and get to know them better.
Its the last fun party time before they start squeezing all energy out of you.
Now pray tell me why should I go?
A manager pings me "Happy Hour! Log out! Work later!"
He stands in my cube and pesters me to log out and go to the restaurant.
[He does these to everyone]
He types out an email to 'everyone' in the team, "SK will be very disappointed if you all dont come!"
Heights is when the big boss comes and says he came only because he read that SK will be disappointed!
It doesnt help that we are just four girls in a thirty plus sized group, about which I can write a separate post, later, gotta run now, squeezing started already.
Now who said we dont have fun at work? |
