| E is for Easter |

Today we had such a fulfilling day it feels like Sunday night already.
Our day started off early we were at a community park by 830 for a Spring event and Easter Egg hunt. BSK's first ever egg hunt. She didnt have a basket, and when she saw other kids have them, she wanted one. And I didnt dress in cute spring-y dress, just normal jeans and tee.
I helped out a little, got to make some new mommy friends.
I put out the eggs for the kids to pick up.
BSK enjoyed the egg hunt, she opened the egss right there, picked out the stickers and even stuck some on me right there. We had a free trial class at Gymboree after in which also BSK had a lot of fun.I could see she could relate to a lot of stuff because she probably studies and does the same in her school too. She waited for her turn, she would go to the teacher, sit and listen, answer, jump, shout, copy everything. It was sooo nice to see her enjoy herself. And of course she didnt want to leave. Still trying to decide between Gymboree and Pacific West Gymnastics. Gymnastics will help graduate to actualy gymnastics, and also much closer to home.
We got out of the class and saw Easter bunny and facepainting and balloon twisters just outside. Long lines later, BSK had a cute white and pink bunny on her cheek and a carrot on the other. She also got a doggy shaped balloon.
It was already 12:30, we set off to Saravana Bhavan for lunch, it has been ages since we visited this place. We got back and after a few mins of rest, started prepping and cooking dinner, a newly wed couple and a not so newly wed couple were visiting. I made vegetable pulao, potato kurma, chicken curry and oats idli. Oats idli was a flop this time around, not sure what the deal was.
Some chatting, watching TV later, BSK missed me looks like because I was cooking most of the evening. She wanted to cuddle with me down stairs with the blankee. So we did that for sometime. She is a loving cuddly child, who yearns for love and attention. Very sensitive too.
So this is the first time even I saw an Easter Egg hunt. Easter really means something to me, me being religious and all. For me, Easter is the day the Lord resurrected from the dead. Good Friday brings tears to my eyes, and Easter happiness, new hope.
Adios! I think tomorrow is a holiday haan? I hope so this is getting a little too compulsory for me. |
