- You never stop learning and I love learning
- Decision making is hard
- Experienced people have learnt how to handle tough, sensitive situations. Everyone handles it differently. I will not say one is better than the other, they are just different.
- I dont like confrontation. I am this perfect example of 'I want to be liked by everyone' and 'I dont want to make enemies' Is it right or wrong? Both DH and I are like that. and I wonder if it is a South Indian thing or our families happen to be like that. At what cost are we avoiding confrontation?
- I am not smart in handling these things at all. Have lot more to learn.
- I am very empathetic, I can see the other person's view very clearly, which is my boon and bane.
- Sometimes you have to go by data, but there are times when you have to go by your guts?
- Make a mistake and if it backfires, suck it up and live with it, even if it costs your job.
- We make impressions about people you meet. Something about them stands out for which they are known. Until now, I have heard, 'nice' 'friendly' 'smiling' 'teamplayer'. All safe terms.
- You really need guts to stand out and stand up for yourself. It is not just about standing up, it is also about being prepared to face the consequences, which is tough.
- Sometimes experience helps, sometimes new outlook helps. When what helps?
- Does anybody really look out for someone else? I think everyone looks out for themselves.
- Indian mythologies say be patient, wait for the right thing etc, American successes say go by your guts, do what you love, go against everything to get it.
- As they say, for every success story we hear or read about someone doing something dramatic or drastic, there are numerous failure stories about some other who did the same thing, and .. failed.
- All this realization, the more I realize the more confused I am!
- I spoke to this person about work-life balance and they call it 'child neglect' and that there is no such thing as work life balance. I knew at that moment we will not get along. I tend to read in between the lines I guess, and come to my own conclusions. I also am defensive about my choices.
Storm in my head. Praying for some clarity and light at the end of the tunnel.
Happy Friday, right? |

questions are good, but confidence and self-esteem coupled with experience should help provide clarity on how to tackle them.
never let anyone let u feel guilty about working and this so called 'child neglect'. i wish people would stop debating about this now.
