- thankful for fruits in my room. I was so hungry at 3am, I ate an apple
- going through the same stuff customer after customer, but get different inputs. I am thankful to have the opportunity to understand customer concerns firsthand, it gives me a better leverage when bargaining internally. A customer literally laughed at my face on something I worked very hard to get. :--S some perspective
- thankful for the plethora of veggie options! Food is pretty good for vegetarians. These guys don't like to waste food. I don't waste food usually, but I realized I was not the best. Guilty!
- Chia Te! Easily my high point of the day. This place makes the worlds best pineapple pastries. Better than 85degreeS and they don't have branches in the US. These are flavorful and melt in your mouth not just loaded with sugar and fat. Thanks to my geo marketing guy who took me to this place, and helped me buy the stuff because no English. I offered to buy him and his family some pastries and he outright refused. He said 'I don't want to get used to it. We have enough to eat at home'. I didn't pressurize him. But his sense of honor and principles amazed me. Here is this guy and there are people I know who get into these roles just for the freebies.
