| - 5:40am I asked JSK to come to our bed and cuddle. She immediately came off. I said I will have to get up and get ready at 6:30 and she said 'no Amma pogadheenga. Ingaye irunga' I told exactly 7 days before I am back. And she cried when I got in the cab. She knows I need to go, she knows she cannot stop me. She can only cry. Heart was heavy, BUT thankful for a loving family. Thankful for the husband who will take care of dotter and the house while I am gone. Thankful for the dotter who immediately got on to making a welcome card for my return. Love them to bits.
- Joy. The movie. Was good. I immediately wanted to pursue some of my ideas and see it through to fruition.
- happy for the business class. I badly wanted to curl up and sleep all day, that's what I would have done had I not been travelling. I did that in the flight, thanks to full lie down bed seats! Five course meals really, I am super stuffed for having been sitting all day.
- the advantage of travelling business class is many fold. Not just the convenience, good seats and the super attentive staff and the really good tasting food but early boarding and getting off which means no line in security etc! Last time when we travelled to Kenya we used to tag along with VP and another colleague into the VIP lounges. This time also I am typing this sitting in the lounge with all the other 'business folks' Gosh I am a total misfit here going by appearance.
- dotter is getting better at skating. Every time her instructor changes she retreats, there is a time period when she wouldn't want to go. Now she is back to form and actually learning.
- happy Mother's Day! It's Sunday here. I am losing a day. Thankful for my loving mother. As I grow up I understand more of why she was the way she was. She gave me absolute freedom to be myself. I respect her and love her even more as I see the challenges of being a mother to a spirited child JSK. I am sure I was atleast as stubborn as JSK if not more. Love you mom!
