| Hello hello howdy
- it is 8:32pm and I am still awake woohoo! Managed to get out for dinner. Woohoo! Sad part is I have only one more night here, and I have to go through Jetlag all over again. Oh well. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts
- when a customer says I am smart that's got to make me happy. Even if he was just joking. ;--P this meeting happened in Mandarin and I just sat there trying to look for English words and come to my own conclusions. But hey I get to practice with these guys before I handle the real deal.
- my iPhone charger gave up on me. I was using colleagues hotspot and totally drained my phone. But hey I am in Taiwan the land of fakes?! I got an imitation iPhone charger that works just as well. Happiness restored in SK land
- got lots of Jasmine tea to take back home. Had some amazing smelling tea, it was apparently 'flower tea' I didn't know which flower, but I could almost feel the sweetness of the flower at my throat, it was amazing tea.
- I survived an earthquake!!! It was a 5.6 magnitude one a few miles from Taipei City. I was presenting when I felt it. I asked what it was and they said earthquake. Nepal memories flooded my head and my first instinct was to run out from the 4th floor. But everyone was just sitting there for half a minute when the window shades were swaying, grounds shaking. We finished the meeting and went to lunch when we felt it again. We could see ceiling hangings shake. I once again asked if we should run out and colleagues said the stampede might be worse than the earthquake. It wa true the cafe was very crowded with too many people. It was amazing how cool they were. Apparently such 3-6 mag earthquakes happen quite frequently in Taiwan. Phew!!! https://in.news.yahoo.com/strong-quake-strikes-northeast-taiwan-103100173.html
