How much fun was it to catch up with old friends! Visited F-town after a long time, and boy do I miss it! A and S were great hosts as usual, whipping up a sumptuous meal right in front of our eyes while chatting. One of those times I wonder why I am not given the enthu to cook such meals. Met a bunch of friends for dinner. Most of them started off being single, and now slowly everyone got married, slowly folks bought homes and now everyone is having babies. Life changes, but I can see how lasting friendships are made. Slow and steady.
Visited relatives in Napa Sonoma. Beautiful Napa. Beautiful weather. And Chithi had whipped up another elaborate lunch for us, of the non-veg kind. I just ate and ate like a starved woman. Seeing them live an organized routine life made me what to get retired almost! Past 50 when kids are almost settled, you have a feeling of accomplishment. Hmm. Only scared me of what lies ahead. Frenzy, hectic years.
Being away from work for two whole days was such a nice break. There were days when we used to do weekend trips often. Not lately. This was a great break in routine.
And yesterday was another trip down memory lane. Drove around a University town, watching the young folks walking with ipods and backpacks. But nothing can beat Mad-town. More spacious, cleaner and definitely more beautiful. :--)
Keeping fingers crossed on a bunch of things. Work is hectic but boring, if you know what I mean. How to keep oneself occupied in such situations? |

if work is boring, may be you should ask your manager for a change? ;-) if any work is boring, then dream about the pay checks, should be good to bring you back!

And I am moving to a new position soon, they are not letting me go for another month or so.
